Here is my own record of some of the places I’ve been fortunate to have experienced. whether It’s protection from potential invaders, time capsule cottages or industries that only produce dust there is something quite majestic about the way nature claims some of it back!
All of the places on this blog have been accessed via legitimate means, I do not attempt to make access into property’s or grounds when there isn’t one. I have never taken equipment to make access nor undertaken in any criminal activities whilst in these places.
Many of the posts on this page have been accessed via permission visits or through one of the many volunteer opportunities I am lucky to be involved in.
A few of the locations I haven’t revealed its true name or location; this is to respect the privacy of the owners.
I am truly passionate about documenting the places of the past and would define myself as a historical photographer.
There is something quite special about being somewhere where history tells a story.
I hated history at school but you can’t help but absorb what’s left when you visit somewhere from the past.
Take nothing but pictures leave nothing but footprints!
A little known fact about me is that I am actually a chronically ill person; Photography is my therapy and despite my illnesses I strive to be as able as I can, For a person living in a lot of pain it’s often incredibly hard to have hope, choices, and social plans but it isn’t impossible. Greatness is never achieved living completely inside your comfort zone. Start small, lean on little boundaries to make a little freedom! #disabledbutnotunable
