Known as st Georges hospital to most,the County Asylum was open in 1818 and ran all the way through until 1946 where it became a st Georges hospital. This place has a perosnal family history as my late grandfather constructed parts of the factory as his father did, he also used to oversee at the factory and my uncle until the factory closed. Now theres is nothing on the site at all, all gone to make way for social housing.
