The Mill

Drove past it this place on the way to somewhere else, so popped to see what was here on the way back, Very bare and open to the elements but still alittle bit of character left.. or at least you could have seen where the character was! Built in 1825-1828 it was a frie proof factory which explains its incredibly crude design. I believe the old boiler house is grade 2 listed although not much left of it.

This building is listed because it is the oldest and largest surviving example of
a multi-storey, steam-powered, iron-framed textile mill in the important textile centre of
Halifax, it is probably also the best preserved example for its date in Yorkshire.
